Lee A. Tolbert Community Academy provides the best in reading, writing, math, science and other curriculum areas through the school year. Our expanded educational program offerings are:

B.I.S.T. - Behavior Intervention Support Team
This program teaches that change is possible when students are able to take responsibility for their problem behavior and construct new ways of preventing problems.

Care Teams
A care team consists of a staff member and ten students from different grade levels.  Teams meet weekly to share problems and celebrate accomplishments. This is another way we teach our students the value of being a part of a community.

C.I.C. - Cable In The Classroom
Cable In The Classroom fosters the use of cable content and technology to expand and enhance learning for children and youth nationwide. Working in partnership with and on behalf of the cable industry, C. I. C. advocates for the visionary, sensible and effective use of media in homes, schools, and communities.

Expeditionary Learning
A K-12 design combining rigorous academic content and real world projects, “learning expeditions.” The ELS design focuses on teaching in an engaging way.

Title 1
Reading Program is a federally funded program designed to provide children who are working below average with additional help in Reading, Math or Language Arts.

Y.E.S. - Young Entrepreneurial Spirit
Young Entrepreneurial Spirit involve students in the process of starting up a business.

Every L.A.T.C.A. student participates in one or more programs throughout the school year.
